Reid Kinnear a resident of Huron County, having relocated from Toronto to Bayfield in 2007 and subsequently to Goderich in 2020.
As a young man, Reid studied art, which culminated in a long career in commercial art and the printing industry. Now retired, Reid has more time to devote to his first passion; painting.
Reid was influenced by the renowned Hungarian landscape and still-life artist Zoltan Szabo. Zoltan was a mentor to Reid and spent countless hours tutoring the young artist on his technique. Not surprising, this had an enormous impact and helped to shape Reid's passion for landscape and still-life work.
During the early years, Reid's medium was water colour, and pen and ink. However, he has more recently transitioned to acrylic.
Reid's pen and ink drawings have been commissioned for many clients.
He is a member of the Bayfield Art Guild since its inception in 2016.
